About “The Eagle Session”

In this session, titled “The Eagle Session”, viewers are guided through the third class in Par72 Yoga’s progressive Yoga for Golfers series. This practice builds upon the previous “PAR” and “Birdie” sessions with increased difficulty, particularly in balance and full-body coordination. It combines mindful breathwork, foundational strength-building poses, and functional mobility exercises to improve body awareness and stability, essential qualities for golfers seeking longevity and precision in their game.

Warm-Up and Warrior Sequence

The session begins with a mindful centering exercise in resting pose and progresses into a dynamic full-body warm-up through Sun Salutations. Megan introduces a series of Warrior postures, emphasizing modifications and breath-connected movement. Students are encouraged to work within their own limits while gradually exploring more demanding transitions, such as Side Angle, Reverse Warrior, and Warrior III.

Strength and Balance Work

A balanced flow continues into strength-building sequences with blocks, crescent lunges, and hamstring activations. Megan then guides participants into standing balance postures, including Tree, Eagle, and Dancer’s Pose, each designed to cultivate stability through the lower body while challenging mental concentration.

Recovery and Cool Down

To promote recovery and spinal reset, the class winds down with supported bridge poses, supine hip openers, and forward folds. Grounded stretches and Pilates-inspired roll-ups further support spinal articulation and hamstring length. The sequence finishes with gentle hip release through Half Frog, followed by an extended Savasana to allow full integration of the practice.

Support for All Levels

Throughout the video, Megan provides clear instructions and consistent cues that support participants at all levels, with options for props and pace adjustments to ensure safety and comfort.
