Root to Rise: A Yoga Workshop for Alignment & Stillness
Date: Sunday, November 16th, 2025
Time: 3pm to 4:30pm
Location: SLS Centre in Cochrane
Open to all levels – no experience necessary
As autumn fades and winter approaches, nature invites us to slow down, turn inward, and find steadiness. Before the rush of the holiday season, give yourself the gift of pause.
Join us for this 90-minute workshop designed to strengthen, align, and ground both body and mind. Together, we’ll break down three foundational yoga poses: Downward Facing Dog, Triangle, and Malasana (yogi squat) to explore alignment, strength, and how movement can help stimulate the vagus nerve for calm and balance in the nervous system.
Through mindful practice, you’ll learn how these poses help condition the body not only for movement, but also for stillness and peace. We’ll close with a grounding meditation, leaving you centered, calm, and ready to embrace the shift into winter with ease.
What to Expect:
- Breathwork to connect and center
- Pose breakdowns for alignment, strength, and vagus nerve stimulation
- Guided practice to integrate stability and stillness
- Closing meditation for grounding and peace
