Forming A Habit

I have been doing Yoga for Golfers (YFG) with Megan for a few years. I love her classes. They are challenging but doable. I just started SwingFit classes this winter.  They are such a great complement to the yoga classes.  By doing YFG and SwingFit, my flexibility and balance have improved and I’m feeling stronger than ever.  I can’t wait for golf season! - Janice C.

I found Megan of Par 72 yoga through my classes with Swingfit golf and Evan Bett. Her classes are well structured and move at a good pace and she offers three options on how do certain poses so you don’t feel like you can’t do it. She also takes the extra time at the start and end of each class to check in to see if any issues. I also enjoyed the online format and if I missed a class she always sent out the class to do on our own. Strongly recommend Megan of Par 72 Yoga. - Brian M.

I first took in person Yoga for golf sessions with Megan in 2019 and early 2020 in preparation for the golf season.  I took away key exercises and stretches that my husband and I have faithfully made it our routine before we set out to our golf game. It really makes a difference in our games.  Needless to say, I was so happy when Megan contacted us about her restart and collaboration between her company Par72yoga and Swingfit.  I have been taking her yoga/core sessions virtually on Saturdays for the past two months and I am very pleased with my progress.  I was looking at it as a means to keep the flexibility and mobility for golf when eventually it starts but I have found it is also great for pre curling stretches!  Thank you Megan! - Juliette H 

 

Thank you for putting together such comprehensive Yoga for Golf classes via Zoom for the Royal Ottawa Golf Club.  Although, as mentioned in my last note to you, I am unable to participate due to my second hip replacement I have been watching each week and so I would be able to remember your instructions.  Imagine how excited I am that you have agreed to let us have your classes to continue to work on the programs.  I am delighted, thank you so much.  Also, I am hopeful that your classes will continue through the Spring.  Your classes are terrific and I can’t wait to get the OK to get back into them slowly. - Carol H.

I have been following Megan virtually 3x per week for the past 2 months.  I may have weak arms and toes, but can manage well with her well defined stretches and postures.  Her ability to have you work with what you can do inspires you to go that extra inch. I have been doing the classes for the last 2 months and I think they are great.  All the classes are oriented around golf improvement but they would apply to any physical function.  There is a different class each day except Sundays:  Core control, lower body disassociation, upper body disassociation, postural stability, dynamic strength and yoga for golfers.  After my assessment, Evan noticed that my left hip is the issue with my right hip pain.  I guess the left hip was very tight and causing me to change the way I move (including swinging) to compensate for the left hip .  I am feeling stronger, more flexible and the ongoing issue with my hip, is significantly improved. - Liz T.
